As phdmba a writer, teacher, and consultant for more than sixty years, phdmba we have created and articulated the concepts that have made management a field of legitimate academic inquiry and professional practice. Key to the professor’s vision of management is the belief that the most important asset phdmba of any organization is its people. The manager’s primary challenge, the professor believes, is to prepare and free people to perform. The professor’s interest in management extends beyond the scope of traditional business to include phdmba nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurial enterprises. Indeed, the influence of his thinking is so pervasive that he is fairly called the “father of management”.
